Para-professional training workshops available.

At the end of the workshop teachers will be able to:


1) Identify the primary functions of behavior and understand how these functions maintain challenging behaviors in the classroom.

 

2) Conduct direct observation procedures to understand the function of behavior.


3) Administer indirection procedures for determining the function, such as interview forms and Motivational Scales.

 

4) Develop Behavior Intervention Plans based on the function of behavior.

 

5) Have a tool box full of Positive Behavior Support to help all children succeed in the least restrictive environment.

 

6) Have the necessary skills and tools to view themselves as capable and effective leaders in the classroom and school.

 

7) Have access to a variety of websites and video presentations to further their behavior management skills.

 

8) The presenter will be available for an hour after presentation to answer questions.

 

9) (Optional) -- Presenter will be available for hands-on-workshop, directly addressing problematic student(s) behaviors in their natural school environment
